Learning More About Blogging

I am taking a blogging class at this very moment that is offered by my school district. I am excited to learn more about the ways I can utilize blogs in my classes. I hope to implement something next school year. My attempts with wikis have had mixed results in the past. So, maybe blogging will be better.

I would be interested in hearing about your experiences with Wikis and Blogs. Since we teach classes on both, I could really use your feedback in adding to the classes ways to specifically address your classroom needs.
Keep me posted! :)

Hey, Victoria!
(First of all the "p" is missing from the "http" of you URL.)

I was thinking the same thing about blogging instead of using the class wiki. but what I HAVE been amazed at:
1) My students are almost SILENT when they're in the computer lab, posting on the wiki.
2) They are eager to write!

And, cutest of all: Antonio asked if he could read everyone's posts about spring break. I assured him that I wanted everyone to read each other's post. After he read, he added to the wiki,"Good stories y'all!"

We have some fancy computer projects being prepared for the technology expo, but I think this simple act of writing is the best benefit of technology that I have experienced this year! (We are in a non-Title I school, and this is our first year with a state-of-the-art computer lab.)
